It has recently occurred to me that an increasingly large number of adventurers have joined our the battle since the cataclysm struck our fair land of Azeroth. To that end I have decided to cronical the events that have happened in this world, why the factions are warring. Stories of Old-Gods, The powerful Titans and daring doos.
But who am I to relate these stories to you. As I now sit in my chamber sunk deep below the city of Loredron in the dark twisting corridors of the under-city, I wonder myself. I am Loremaster Keohon, I have decided to cronicel all the information I have gathered through my adventures, I have journeyed and explored all over this land from Tirisfal Glades to Durotar, from mysterious plane of Outland to frozen wastes Northrend .
Through these pages I write I hope to explain why members of the horde Still raise a glass to Cairne Bloodhoof, why the Alliance still celebrate the return of Malfurion Stormrage. I hope to explain the whos, whys, whats and whens behind Illidan and The Lich King. I hope to explain the scars of the Wrathgate and why Alexstrasza hasn’t destroyed us yet.
But let’s start where the current events have begun let’s start with the founding of the Horde and alliance, Starting with the invasion of the Green skinned Orcs:
It all began back when blood still coursed through my veins and my flesh was still tight on my bones, the world was at peace and the human of the southern continent where at peace until one day, something changed. The event that changed was the first opening of the dark portal and through it poured the Orcs, empowered by the blood of Mannoroth the Pit Lord. The Orcs pushed on strongly against the human forces but they were held at bay by the valiant forces of storm wind.
But strength alone will not prevail against the force of the orks for they only knew one thing that they would crush everything as long as there Warchief ruled. But rule he did not for he was controlled by the warlock Gul’dan, he sent a half orc half “human” to the king as envoy she befriend the king and won his trust but as the orcs attacked one last time her mind was controlled by Gul’dan and his Shadow Counsel and she was forced to kill the king tears pouring down he eyes as she killed the first being not to hate her. I can only imagine the look in her eyes as she turned and saw the kings son who had watched the event unfold before him, it was probably similar to the one as she told me the tail and the one in my eyes as I write these words for if this event had not been witnessed Varian The leader of the Alliance may have been kinder to the orcs.
Both sides suffered heavy losses but probably most importantly was the loss on the side of the orcs. A orc and his wife, Durotan and Draka, approached the Warchief with proof of the Shadow Counsel dark deeds. Unforchently on their way back the home the orcs where attacked, there were no survivors except there new born son was left beside the road to die, remember this child for his story is not done.
The last remaining forces of storm wind fled north to where they met up with the Elves and human of Loredron, these people rallied round and the dwarves and gnomes joined there force, this is where I join the story as a human. The Humans weren’t the only ones to make new allies the orcs allied with the Amani Tribe of trolls
Eventually the Alliance of Human, Elf, Dwarf and Gnome defeated the orcish hordes and forced them back to the portal, throughout the battles the Shadow Council, including Gul’Dan though again do not forget him, was destroyed along with the dark portal and the orcs rounded up and placed in encampments where they were treated as slaves by the humans. At this time all was again at peace the orcs began to suffer withdrawals form the blood of Mannoroth they had drunk and became listless and obedient.
There were still a few lesser camps of orcs hiding in the forests trying to survive but there was no chance no Orc to lead or inspire a uprising and free them from the slavery. Now dear friends remember the Orc child left at the road side for he is now of the up most importance, for this child was found and raised as a personal slave by a wealthy family of humans and although he was mistreated he was also shown love by the daughter who one night lead him out of the city and set him free, this orc travelled to the camp of Orgrim Doomhammer with nothing but his name, Thrall human for slave however he wears this name with pride.
Thrall trained as a Sharman and join the warrior Grom Hellscream, the two ambitious heroes helped free the orcs, for their own reasons – Thrall to find out what it means to be a orc and Hellscream to help clean his name, as he had been the first to drink the blood of Mannoroth. With the orcs freed they stole a boat and escaped to Kalimdor. Whilst on the way the orcs met the Darkspear Trolls and helped them fight the Narga, thus Thrall gained his first major ally the Darkspear Trolls and there Leader the mighty Shadow hunter Vol'jin. Apon arriving in Kalimdor Thrall aided the Tauren in calming and defining there spiritual home land of Mulgore, again gaining them as a powerful ally, The Combined clans of the Tauren under the rule of Cairne Bloodhoof.
During this time the alliance had lost the elves due to an attack by the Undead Scourge who destroyed the sun well, they also lost Loredron and humanity fled back to the safety of the newly rebuilt storm wind, once again the dwarves and gnomes allied with the humans to fight back the scorge, but suddenly the scorge stoped there attacks. The alience travelled to Kalimdor where they met and allied with the Night Elves, as well as form a uneasy treaty with the Horde to fight off the dark forces of the Burning legion.
The Heros won and the Burning legion was forced back to outland to wait for another attack. The uneasy treaty began to fall apart and the hored and allience began to war once more. As time whent on the armies where joined by new allies the Horde gained the Forsaken, the Undead who fought off the control of the Lich King, the Blood elves, the reminats of the elves who battled the scourge, and finally the Goblins who fled from the wrath of Deathwing. Whereas the alliance gained the Draenei who had fled the burning legion and the Worgen who had escaped the cataclysm and invasion by the forsaken.
That is all for this instalment next time lets take a look in to the ancient past a time of Dragons, Demons, Dark Gods and Titans.
